Corrections Policy

We aim to publish accurate, well-sourced coverage of the Tennessee Titans. When we get something wrong we correct it clearly, quickly, and in the open.

How to Report an Error

Email corrections@thetitanstandard.com with the article URL, the sentence that needs correcting, and the source that supports the correction (a stat sheet, injury report, official statement, or link). You can also use the "Report a correction" link on the bottom of any article.

How We Handle Corrections

An editor reviews every request within one business day. Verified factual errors — dates, stats, spellings, contract terms, injury statuses — are fixed immediately. A dated correction note is appended to the bottom of the article so readers know what changed and when.

Significant Changes

If a correction materially changes the story (a wrong player named, a wrong outcome reported, a wrong source attributed) we place a "CORRECTED" note at the top of the article and note the original claim, the correction, and the date.

Retractions

If an entire story is inaccurate or built on a source we cannot re-verify we retract it. Retracted articles remain on the site but are re-titled "RETRACTED" and prefaced with an editor's note explaining why.

What We Don't Change

We do not silently edit opinions or analysis to reflect subsequent events. If a prediction turns out wrong, that record stands — it's how we hold ourselves accountable.
